Year comes, year gone :)Time passes more quickly than you can image, especially when struggling on something. Even worse, when asking yourself "what have you got?", what's your answer?
I don't wanna talk about it.
Anyway, play hard next day, next year.
to ylx-- I see your works. That's fantastic. Great MigrationThey fly to my hometown, Kunming, every year since I was child, never breaking off. They come in the winter and leave in next spring. We are very happy to see them being there, and feed them. I don't know why they go there every year, for me, it is a incredible thing, because the place they visit is a city, and you can see from the picture, the lake is in the middle of the city and surrounded by buildings. Why they visit us regularly remains unresolved.
These seagulls leave their home in Siberia in early November, and arrive in Kunming after half a month flight , staying in there for about 4 months. 12 timezones far away (N.Y.C trip)Last weekend, I went to New York City with friends. It's the second time for me to experience the big city in USA :). The last one is Washington D.C. Any way, NYC is one of the most prosperous cities on this planet. It's cool, and "it's like Tokyo" my friend said.
We spent almost our time in Manhattan, a tiny but richest island. Yes, the Time Square, the Wall Street, and the Fifth Street are there, and the ruin of the World Trade Center is there too. All the streets in the city are narrow, especially in Manhattan, and most of them are one-way. The city has the most developed subway system in the world, I believe. In that place, you can hardly see the sky wider than your opened arms, because the tall buildings veil the sky. That's so called iron woods, I think :) Maybe I should say the city is gray, because the colors of the buildings are almost gray or dark, and roads and streets seem dirty and dusty.
After two days lingering in New York, we left there. The N.Y.C gives me good impression, and I like it very much. BTW, because of the time and trip arrangement, we just saw the “Liberty Enlightening the World” and the empire building, the tallest building in NYC now, in a long distance.
(Pics? please wait for my own PC :) 12 timezones far away (3)On a hot summer day, I went to the capital of USA, the Washington D.C. Yes, it was a capital one-day-trip :) and I was totally like a rustic person, hehe. But it was still a funny tour. I took lots of pictures of historic buildings and items in the museum. Even though the history of the USA is very short, USA has treated history in a proper way. people respect to the history, and memorize the history, and also get educated through history. But the one-day-trip made my body very very tired and uncomfortable, because of the long-time bus ride and the bad-controlled air conditioner which forced the temperature so low that I almost got cold. And I think, people, who plan to have an one-day-trip to D.C., should pay attention to the schedule for touring. For some of the museums close early or in varied time, so please put the items of museum touring at the beginning of your list, and you can enjoy those outside landscapes after the in-room visiting. (And the photos would be expected at the time I get my own PC or laptop, because using the .mac OS, I can not manage the photo album.) 12 timezones far away (2)yesterday, I cooked for myself, first time in my apartment. And I have done it twice in Jing's:) That's very nice, and they liked it so much. And I took some pics in my daily life, so I want to put them on the internet, for sharing my live with you.
And the school orientation began yesterday, and there are many activities everyday through to the class day, which will begin at 30 Aug.
In the pictures below, is my apartment's outside look and the foods I made first day in it. Enjoy it please:) 12 timezones far awayIt's a beautiful town where I live now. Through about 24 hours flying, I finally got to a tiny town, named State College, where PSU located, and 12 timezones farway from Beijing and Kunming. Thanks to my friends Jing, Ying, and Ink, they picked me up at the SCE airport:) and help me settling down more easily.
And it's also a good university, I think.
Today, I went to the whipple Dam state Park with my friends and takes some photos. And here is the photos tooken at the lake and some in the school. Hope you can enjoy it:)
Everybody, thougth we live under the different sky, I am missing you all everyday. about flying abroad后天就出发了:) 真是有点搞啊, 要去的地方正好在北京的对面, 时差12小时(突然想着,准备整一个blog系列, 就叫“时差12小时”, 呵呵)。
New TripToday, I step on a way to new life and maturity. Though it will be painstaking and unpredictable, I enjoy it. On the wandering road, I hope I can share my feelings and happiness with you.
